Welcome to GoG's World!

We are a well established community with a good number of regular players on our DayZ Epoch Chernarus server where we are currently GameTracker ranked in the Top 3 and have recently held first place. We have now set up two new servers running A3 Epoch & A3 Overpoch.

We have friendly active admins playing but, they are not there to be abused with TP requests and spawn vehicle requests where players have messed up or died. They are there to monitor potential hackers and recover problems from server glitches. Our admins won't troll you or interfere with your game unless you have requested help. They won't help you unless you are subject to a genuine glitch so as not to give you an unfair advantage over other players.

The servers currently run BattlEye and infiSTAR anti-hack programs and have the following customisations from vanilla:

The servers have extreme performance and run on an Enterprise level dedicated box, have no errors running in the background and are backed up regularly.

  • ADDED: FuMS - New headless client mission system (Altis)
  • ADDED: Armed helis Ghosthawk, Pawnee & Orca but removed rockets (Chernarus)

Main changes are the update to the Marksmen DLC release 1.42 and adding the new weapons and attachment etc to the loot systems and traders. Also upgrading epoch to version 0302. Both of these are a superb improvement and have really changed the game for the better imo.

The other biggie was we decided to turn the Chernarus server into Overpoch which is our first dabble with the MAS weapons mod. We also decided to add some armed vehicles to the Overpoch server for now to bring in the old Arma 2 Epoch feel a bit more as a lot of players expressed heavy interest in this. We'll see how that works on the Cherno server first and make a call on whether to add to Altis as well. We added the MAAWS as a rare loot find item to help with taking those vehicles down but, you can still shoot them with higher calibre weapons anyway.

The new mission system on Altis runs on a headless client and therefore has virtually no impact to the server's resources as a result. This allows us put some thinking and design into that system with some thoughts heading towards a sector B styled AI city and having a high number of AI on some missions to make them far more challenging.

We have currently been reviewing the Red Hammer Studios mod and are thinking of adding those superb 'cold war' vehicles to the Overpoch Chernarus server but, will take our time on this as we have had a fair amount of change already as mentioned above. Other potential roadmap ideas are to change the default load out for players as we had success with this on our Arma 2 epoch server.

Main changes were the Arma update to 1.44 and epoch to version 0303.

We decided to turn the Chernarus server into Bornholm. The main reason for this was that with the All in Arma Terrain Pack for Chernarus, a lot of the buildings couldn't be entered like they could in Arma 2. This also meant the loot would spawn in doorways. Also, with all fixes tried, you either had loot under the floor or, hovering. We also fancied trying Bornholm as it is relatively new to Epoch.

After adding some armed vehicles to the Overpoch server, as mentioned in my previous post, we decided to also add them to Epoch. We also added the RPG 42 Alamut to Epoch which is the closest equivalent to the MAAWS in Arma 2 Epoch or Arma 3 using @mas. Rather than adding the ammunition for those vehicles to the loot system, we decided to add a script called Service Point. This allows players to repair and rearm their vehicles at service stations.

The old player status bar would often bug away and disappear on players so, we have added a completely new one with better graphics and should have fixed the disappearing issue. From the positive feedback of the Earplugs script from our Wasteland server, we decided to add this to both the Epoch and Overpoch servers. We also added a deploy bike function as this was a big hit on our Arma 2 Epoch server many moons ago... :)

Our server population is gradually growing on both servers so, we are happy that the changes we are making are heading in the right direction.
