IliektingsdatgoBOOOM 0 Posted September 25, 2002 First of all the closest post about this problem i could find here is: http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....istance Wich doesnt help me. I have this huge problem. The day that i installed Resistance Addon i found that i couldnt see any models drawn beyond 50 meters away from me. ;/ I first kept virtually the same settings as i had with ofp v 1.46 Now ive had to set it lower to keep it ok to play. I updated all my drivers etc all the usuall stuff. I also tried it in a simpel mission with a tank planted every 50 meter for about 1000 meters away from me, with viewdistances set at 1000 then with a trigger change em to 1500, 2000, no matter what i do i dont see s@#t further then 50 meters away from me. Ive read the troubleshooting faq aswel as searching the rest of the forum and couldnt come up with a solution. Settings: total memory : 256 texture heap : 16 fileheap : 16 geometry performance :2058 max lights :15 cockpit 64x64 objects 256x256 landscape 1024x1024 special effects 128x128 autodrop down 4x max object: 256 objects lod: 0.019 shadow lod: 0.050 default viewdistance set to +/- 1000 Ow and both ofp and resistance is original ,worked and payed for. At the moment i had to quit the campaign because its not playable like this, and im seriously concidering donwgraiding to v1.46 Please help or direct me to a post that can help me, as i said i tried searching first. Great thanks in advance
edc 0 Posted September 25, 2002 by default view distance did you mean the option under graphics in the options menu. If not then try changing that.

Mister Frag 0 Posted September 25, 2002 What happens when you minimize the Frame Rate and maximize the Visual Quality -- do the objects show up then?
IliektingsdatgoBOOOM 0 Posted September 25, 2002 Yep this fixes it =) Thanks allot, really appreciate this.
Mister Frag 0 Posted September 26, 2002 I'm not sure which post you replied to and what the fix was, but if it was the Visual Quality vs. Frame Rate slider setting, make sure you experiment with it a bit more to find a good balance. My understanding of the relationship between the two is as follows: Max. Visual Quality / Min. Frame Rate: OFP provides the best visuals, regardless of how long it takes to draw them. Framerates can really suffer. Min. Visual Quality / Max. Frame Rate: OFP shoots for at least 40fps, and increases the visual quality as much as it can while meeting the frame rate goal. If you have a leading-edge system, you can still exceed the 40fps goal with full visual quality.

Again Thanks allot, both of you =)
