How to place objects using TerrainBuilder...

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I decided to use terrain builder an place objects on my newly created map... I am using bridges from a custom mod and obviously you can't place them while they are in a pbo. So I extract the pbo and place it on the map, and then once I go ingame I have to have the pbo extracted still and can't used the pbo version of the mod... Anyone know how to fix this? Sorry it is kinda hard to explain.

Do you get any errors?

When you extract the pbo you need to make sure you place the folder in the correct place on your P drive. There should be a file called pboprefix when you extract it. The folder needs to go to that location.

For example, I just extracted cwr2_abel.pbo. Inside the folder, in the same directory as the config, there is a folder called $PBOPREFIX$. Open it up and look for the line that says prefix. Mine says prefix=CWR2\Islands\cwr2_abel. That means that the directory that the config is found in needs to be in CWR2\Islands\cwr2_abel\ to work properly.

ok so I extracted the pbo e76_roads.pbo and the prefix says "prefix=e76_roads" so i just put the it here "P:\e76_roads\" and then all the files go in there?

That would be my best guess, yes.
