masonddg87 16 Posted October 29, 2014 I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to combine multiple terrains together? For example, using the max setting to product a 38 + by 38 + terrain, and than combining four of them to add up to 76 + by 76 + terrain? If so. How to go about it? scorch_052 127 Posted November 2, 2014 I think someone combined Chernarus and Utes into one map in ArmA 2 before, but damned if i know how they did it.
MiauX 10 Posted November 2, 2014 Export your heightmaps to PNG images, copypaste them together (photoshop or gimp), import into L3DT again to convert into XYZ or ASC for TErrain builder. Its actually pretty easy. Also you must join together the SAT images (photoshop/gimp again) You just need to take care on the size and proportion of the heightmap to be suitable to work with TB, that means nothing like a 4096*5512px heightmaps, it has to be completely square
jakerod 254 Posted November 8, 2014 It is possible. You just need to have a big enough mapframe and put them in side by side. They can be from as many files as you want. You may run into technical restrictions depending on what size you want but you can just place things next to one another in TB and they should work fine.
