watchurass 10 Posted September 1, 2014 So I am quite new to the whole re-texturing thing, I managed to follow the " Simple Re-texturing Guide" until the Photoshop part. I already gave the tank the camo I want but I don't know how to add the simple little things I want to add what is written on the front of the turret (the numbers and the sign) but being a noob, I don't know how. Any help will be much appreciated
EricJ 765 Posted September 1, 2014 What you need to do is go learn how to use Photoshop. But anyway, what you need to do is get the BI Tools as you'll need to get Texview2 as well (2.5 edition) as BIS in it's infinite wisdom doesn't include it with their tools. Anyway here's what I did for LOMAC. http://562.50megs.com/LOMAC/Tutorials/LST.zip What you'll need to do first is get the tools, and open Texview2 and navigate to where your file is at. Once you found that file save it as a .png and then open Photoshop. Open the file and you'll see the texture. Take the image of your bumper image and place it where you think it should go (should be really self evident) but you have to use CTRL+T to maneuver it around and apply it once you got it where you want it. Next you save it as a PSD (you'll have to as you'll need to adjust it). Save it as the same file as your previous file, overwrite it. Now once you got TexView2 open find that file and open it. Save As a .paa (you'll have to add the extension manually for some reason, go figure) and PBO the texture and see how it looks in-game, and go back and forth until it works right. Plus you should be on the net finding tutorials on how to use PS anyway, as I gave a very basic set of instructions for use.
