Just bought game; it will not start on i7 Haswell GTX 780 Rig. Arma 3; File Not Found

Recommended Posts

My error messages are below.....

I just bought Arma 3 today (Steam), and already had it `pre-installed` from a brief tryout on my PC (a month or so ago).... and I just installed the Steam Paid Game (Update?) to the game ($60).... but get these TWO Error messages whenever I start the game.....and I dont know if they are related...

Error Message 1.

Addon `A3_Structures_F_Bootcamp_CivSportsground` requires addon `A3_Structures_F_Kart_Civ_Sportsgrounds`

Error Message 2.

Include file

A3/Missions_F_EPA\Campaign_shared\Hubs\cfgB_skirmish0 2.hpp not found.

Thats it really....

The Campaign still will not start.

Due to the error message.

P.S.

All my other 60 games by Steam, UPlay and Origin all work fine (well except BF4 that has spazmodic `Issues` that make you grind your teeth).

Thank you for your consideration.

this sounds like steam messed up your install

let steam check your filecache and if this doesn't help, reinstall.

Ah; thanks.

I already did a filecache.... all went well. Game still didnt start.

I take it by a re-install; you mean a full uninstall and a full re-install....so; I will try that (even though I read about another poster who could not get the game started and he re-installed the 10Gb, and it did squat for him [wish me luck]).

;)

Deleted all local content.

Re-downloading all the 10.5Gb of the game.

3-minutes to 6.

4 minutes past 6 (Asia time) and the re-download is complete.

Not too shabby for countryside Japan.

Will test again....

Works a treat with the re-install. :bounce3:

Spent a while looking through this complex creation.

EDIT....

How do I close the thread? :)
