Maurdekye 10 Posted July 22, 2014 I'm experimenting with the editor, and I can't seem to get the hang of setting tasks. I set up 3 triggers with three tasks attached to them, as such; The modules overlapping the triggers are Create Tasks, and the other modules not overlapping them are Set Task States. You're supposed to be assigned the task to run to the topmost trigger by default. Reaching it assigns a task to run to the rightmost trigger, and that then assigns the final task to run to the bottom most trigger. Currently though, for whatever reason, the first trigger starts completed, and the second trigger is automatically assigned. The rest works fine past that, but I have no idea why this happens. Have you given your tasks unique names? Having no name or the same name for tasks can cause this behaviour.
Maurdekye 10 Posted August 24, 2014 The names of each of the tasks are 'runtask1', 'runtask2' and 'runtask3', respectively. Their task ids are 'run1', 'run2' and 'run3'.

In that case it is probably caused by an even simpler error. Double check that the triggers and modules are synced rather than grouped, especially as the modules tend to be grouped automatically when placed in the editor. If that doesn't resolve it, concentrate on the triggers, looking for typos or an errant character that may have slipped in such as an unwanted space or comma. The second set task was grouped with the heli pad, not the trigger. That fixed my problem.
Maurdekye 10 Posted August 25, 2014 Well, I've done some editing, but now for some reason the task is assigned with the 'completed' symbol, but no pop up appears and has no 3d marker. I can still run over to it and activate it though, and the sequence of tasks behaves normally afterwards. I changed nothing from before, and I've checked and made sure that none of the pads are synced with the objectives or triggers.
