Okies yeah was'nt sure if maybe it was actually a Steam issue though I read it had BE.exe on it. Thanx. I scanned either way FYI it was Norton 360.

Same issue here. Using Symantec Endpoint Protection version: 12.1.4100.4126. Didn't show up as a threat until today. Not sure if it's a BE update or new virus definition added by Symantec.

Update: Now when I try to update via Steam, I get an AV notification that BEService.exe is infected with "Suspicious.Cloud.5"

I tried reporting to McAfee but their website assumes a vendor is submitting material for review. Want all the company info. Said submit the suspect file, their lab will test and after something like six weeks they respond. I'm no vendor and didn't submit.

"Contact us":

http://home.mcafee.com/Root/AboutUs.aspx?id=contactUs

"Dispute a detection":

https://secure.mcafee.com/apps/mcafee-labs/dispute-form.aspx?region=in

McAfee's reporting system is not geared towards end users IMHO.
