spartankicker 10 Posted June 22, 2014 me: failed every optional task + all commanding operations done the hard way(my guys died and i did it all by myself, searching for medkits on dead bodies to heal, hell,i even took on a base alone) and now i'm here regreting everything,so,how did you do it (don't spoil the any episode)
Jona33 51 Posted June 22, 2014 Didn't do any scouting missions for survive, just kind of felt wrong that you would go off wandering around there. Did some scouting missions for adapt, mostly looking for 7.62mm Mk18 mags (my favourite weapon), tried my best to keep my entire team alive during the campaign, didn't always work out! When in doubt, hold fire and come up with a better plan, generally you have the advantage of choosing when to open fire, pick the right moment. Also I would recommend playing in first person, I'm normally not to fussed and generally leave 3rd person enabled so I can take a look at my cool sunglasses but first does make it feel more exciting for me. That is complete personal preference though.
spartankicker 10 Posted June 22, 2014 yes i always look at my amazing aviator glasses, and first person is my favorite as well, and the scouting missions are what exactly?are they the tasks that get created when you hear a conversation between soldiers? Jona33 51 Posted June 22, 2014 Yeah, when you hear the soldiers talking then that creates a task (called a side quest.) When you leave the camp you start a "scouting" mission. Within that scouting mission you can do the side quests. Most of them have to do with finding equipment or neutralising an enemy position. http://dev.arma3.com/post/oprep-campaign-updates Have a read of this, that should explain it quite well.
