Hostage rescue!?

Recommended Posts

In this mission, you are supposed to rescue some hostages the soviets took, but I can't even remotely get near before the ruskies start shooting them. What do I do?

And, if this has been posted before, somebody just kill me.

Ginbo.

Probably your AI buddies screw things up for you. Have them wait, swing wide and anticlockwise round the town then come up by a wall near where the hostages are. That should do it.

Course you'll need to shoot fast once things start.

Well, I searched a bit more and found a few other posts on this topic. I still haven't tried, but it seems you're right, make the AI stop. Why are they so bad? It is sad, eh?

few things...

One, John C Flett is right. Go ALONE. Tell any and all team members you may have with you to stay near where you start. They will give away your position WAY too easily. And youre right, it is sad that they suck so confused.gif

Two, take a silenced weapon. I cant remember if you have HK's at your disposal by this point, but a bizon will work too.

Three, be FAST! All you have to do is get there fast enough, but it gets tricky. A certain amount of stealth is needed to ensure the safety of the hostages. So get as close as you can on foot, and crawl the rest of the way. They need to NOT know youre there for this to work.

After all that, the rest of the mission is elemtary. Happy hunting  smile.gif

Take the bizon and give your men the order to stop at the start point. Go west and crawl to the church from north west.

Watch the jeep driving on the northern-eastern road!

There are two 2 men patrols and one soldier near the hostages. Take take out the soldiers as quick as possible. The best is if they have no time to fire! Try to not hit the hostages wink.gif
