Vignette and general banding

Recommended Posts

Greetings guys,

I started following these forums way back in the OFP days. I needed an answer as to why my pc would always crash during the Red Hammer expansion, thankfully someone had already asked and answered this question and low and behold it was as simple as taking of my side case. Suffice to say it's been off ever since...

Anyway so I've been playing ARMA for a long time now but have never needed to post in these forums. However as the title suggests, the banding and constant vignette issues are really starting to annoy me.

I'm aware of a previous post discussing this but didn't want to necro it. I've also read that pressing the pause/break key removes the vignette but I've tried this both in Dev and normal versions without any luck.

There's already this http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=14274 but it seems to be closed and resolved.

So does this annoy anyone else? I find it fairly intrusive in overcast and night situations, not to mention indoors where a lot of solid colours are involved. I've searched for overlays within arma in order to disable it, however i suspect it's more difficult than just removing a paa file.

Anyway maybe I'm just getting old and picky but any help regarding disabling it would be appreciated.

cheers

I can disable vignette from that key. Though my key is Pause/Scroll lock. You might need ti press F-lock first before that Pause key. Just test some other keys. But I'd like to see a config so I don't need to disable it everytime.

Vignette: Not really, use this unsigned addon for now.

Thanks a lot guys (especially Scruffy), this has really made my day it works like a charm.

So I was kind of on the right path, theoretically could I just replace the vignette_gs.paa with the clear_empty.paa?

Anyway hopefully some of the banding during night time will be fixed sooner than later. I've got a few dusk/night missions I want to begin.

Thanks again.

cheers
