Adding accessories to a weapon in cargo

Is there any way to add weapon accessories (sights, muzzle attachments, etc.) to a weapon that is in cargo? I know how to do it with weapons that a unit has in his inventory, but I can't figure out how to do it for a weapon in cargo.

Are you using any mods? Or are you just talking about the normal in-game weapons?

I am using mods. I know that the normal in-game weapons have different classnames for variants with different accessories.

Then i'm not quite sure. I've never used weapon mods.
