max 0 Posted September 14, 2002 I have a really nice pic of a AK5 as a .gif, now when I open it up in my TexView it is there but then when I save it as a .paa file and open it: There is nothing!! And this is not just happening with my AK5 pic but also with all the other pics i've tried. Now earlier today "Cedaie" from the OFPEC froums helped me and converted the AK5.gif to Ak5.paa (or pac?) so that I could see it in TexView. But then when I try to set it up as a backround pic in O2 nothing shows up! What is wrong!?!
scousejedi 0 Posted September 14, 2002 Make a .gif file as a multiple of 2 and save it as 256 non interlaced. - make it 128x128 Now, you want to place this in the same directory as the buldowzer thingy which should be in the root directory (ooops I mean folder, still prefer DOS though) ie c:\ or d:\ The pal2pac dll should be here as well try making this your background If it works then u know your original pac is wrong in some way If it doesnt you know you have your program setup wrong ... I unzipped oxygen into c:\games\ofp\oxygen\*.* Unzipped viewer into c:\*.* My background images and textures are currently in my root c:\ folder When I load texture it brings up a dialog box, change the bottom to GIF and a list of gifs appears. The gif is automatically converted into a .pac - I haven't needed to use TexViewer
