ngray951 10 Posted March 9, 2014 Hey guys, So before I say what my problem is I have searched for about 3 days now and am familiar with common Arma problems and how to fix them but this one has me stumped. Every time I go to host a multiplayer game with the in game button(new button under multiplayer) it exits the game and says "Include file common\resources\dialogs.hppg" What I have in the folder- Arma 2 Combined Operation on Steam Various Ace Mods Dayz Mod What I have tried- -Re-installed game after deleting every Arma related file I could find(multiple times) including verifying files through steam. -Googled dialogs.hppg in every for possible form including Arma and mods and even just finding out what hppg is(high performance photo gallery file) -Various common Arma fixes including transferring files between Arma 2 and Arma 2 AO. -searched through log files. Under the directory that it states with the "missing file" their is no "resources folder" under "common" in the Arma 2 directory which stumps me even more. Gunter Severloh 4088 Posted March 10, 2014 Has to do with the mission you are trying to host, open the mission pbo, and look for a folder that says common, then inside that a resources folder, then inside that, a dialogs.hpp folder. Its hpp btw, not hppg If you find it then it has to do with the code calling the dialogs.hpp script to be used. Did you recently try to add a menu respawn to a mission for mp? ngray951 10 Posted March 10, 2014 Thanks for your reply but i don't even get to the portion where I can choose a mission. This is using the in-game hoster, not a 3rd party. So basically when I go to mulitplayer and click "new" and then either LAN or internet(it does it with both) it exits and gives this error http://i.imgur.com/9zpL0QQ.png with an hppg not an hpp which is why is stumped me even more. Gunter Severloh 4088 Posted March 10, 2014 I see, thanks for the pic. I mentioned a mission and am familiar with an error like that, and respawn menu so assumed was related to a respawn type of menu something I had used before. All i can think of then is try without any mods, just the vanilla game. Maybe a steam issue. Suggest sending Dwarden a pm and link him to your thread here. ngray951 10 Posted March 14, 2014 What mods do you have activated? None, I tried through steam with zero mods and Arma 2 launcher with mods and it is the same error. I tried launching a multiplayer game through Arma launcher also as I would through opening the game directly but it come sup with the same error regardless. What's odd though is I can host a dedicated server using "Tophe's Dedicated Server Tool" with no errors. It is only when I launch it through the in-game multiplayer interface that I get the error. ngray951 10 Posted March 15, 2014 I tried the windows search, nothing comes up which makes it even weirder. Like the file doesn't exist according to the error. My question is, when I open the in game multiplayer interface and click "new", it shouldn't be opening any mission because I have not selected a mission yet. It closes as soon as choose the options under the in game multiplayer interface -IE (LAN or internet, number of players, name of server ect) and click OK. I appreciate your guys responses, but it seems as though I am missing this file and using Google search nothing exists for it relating to Arma, so it would seem this error will go unresolved which sucks. ngray951 10 Posted March 18, 2014 Oh MY Freaking sweet baby Jesus and mother of Zues...sooo long have I spent trying to figure this out, you're a Freakin genius. I moved out all my missions from the Arma 2 folder into a new one, launched it and bam it works. I'd kiss you if we're here LOL. Seriously though I've had this problem for months and just ignored until everyone in my unit wanted me to host missions. Thanks brother.
