Rotor 0 Posted September 13, 2002 Hey guys, I'm interested - any reason why pintle mounted guns couldn't be "locked" foreward when they are going to be used by pilots for strafing runs? "Door gun" Miniguns on Marine Corps UH-1Ns can be locked forewards in flight (by the crew chief) or on the ground (by anyone) then fired manually by the pilots - the case is true on many other aircraft. Could this be considered in a future update, or is it already possible? Just wondering... Mike
shadow 6 Posted September 14, 2002 The door-gun in the UH-60 points forward untill an AI-unit or a player boards the chopper as gunner. I agree, some sort of 'reset to forward' would be nice.

I find myself locking onto a target to get him to look forward and then clicking elsewhere to get him to unlock, leaving the sight facing forward. This is problematic in the middle of battle however.
