Seltix 10 Posted December 6, 2013 (edited) When i apply a texture to let's say a wall, If i place it over the wall, the edges will look very "bad", so i want to place the same texture on the edge, as on the wall, but when i do so, the texture on the wall becomes "bad" and the texture on the edge, is made good, I can't apply same texture to different faces inside(without the switching around), please help :) (Some Pictures) http://imgur.com/n39ssXw and when i try improving the edge, this happens : http://imgur.com/WdqoBUz The texture faces i added, gets removed Greetings, a snowy sweden :) Edited December 6, 2013 by Seltix
[aps]gnat 28 Posted December 7, 2013 Hi Seltix In O2 you must select ONLY the wall faces that you want the texture on. Several ways to do this, but heres one; For example, in one of the O2 panels (view), select just the 4 points that make the first wall face, apply texture Then select the other 4 points that make the "back" of the wall, apply texture again. Then in a different O2 panel/view, select the 4 points that make 1 side, apply texture. Then select the other 4 points that make the other side of the wall, apply texture again. Repeat for all sides. Using the 3d view panel makes it easier to select and see which points you want selected. Select is left-mouse drag-over the point. Un-Select is Cntl-Shft left-mouse drag-over the point. Greetings from stinking hot Australia :)

[aps]gnat 28 Posted December 7, 2013 ? That video was no help sorry. For a start I'm dont flip views like that. I always have the "4-view" panel. (press F9) When you select the 3 or four points down the bottom of O2 it should say 1 face selected. Press A Drag a box Right click inside the box - Load Texture Press B to apply that texture to the selected face (Right-click again- Unload texture) (press A again to get back to the normal edit mode)
dm 9 Posted December 7, 2013 Seltix, what you're doing is perfectly fine (a few too many steps, but otherwise ok). Flipping viewports or 4 panel view is just user preference and has nothing to do with successful texture application. Your 2nd picture is just showing the masking oxygen can do, so that you only see the currently selected faces in Buldozer. You'll find that, if you take your object from the stage in your first picture, then apply the exact process you're doing in your video (your video doesnt show you applying the texture, but I'm going to assume you know how to do that, since you've shown textured screenshots - if not, you must select "Background Mapping" or press 'B' once you've got your texture lined up), then as a final step deselect everything before switching to Buldozer, you'll see a nice, properly textured cube.
