semiconductor 309 Posted December 2, 2013 (edited) Hello! I have a small dedicated server (I'm quite noob at that btw) on which I play my own scenarios among other things. The problem is that I'd like to enable BattlEye on server but I oftnely leave Debug Console enabled for host/clients, so it's possible to fix or correct unpolished mission on the fly (spawn additional armor if there is too much hostiles or spawn additional enemy units, run some sqf-scripts, etc) and I'm afraid that BE will cosider that publishing variables, creating vehicles and running scripts is cheating and eventually issue global ban for somebody. Sadly, there is not much information explainig how exactly BattlEye work and for which actions it issues bans in general and global bans particularly. So, maybe somebody from community with server-hosting experience can clear thigs up. :) 1. Is BE in general friendly to users with no anti-cheat experience? 2. For which actions BE issues global bans? 3. Is it safe to run scripts, public vars and spawn units or vehicles from Debug Console in described circumstances? 4. Is it safe for missions to have scripts like "player setPos[ leaderPosX, leaderPosY + 1.5 ]" (simply teleports player to squad leader after respawn; runs on client)?Just want to be sure. :) Edited December 2, 2013 by Semiconductor
