Slow forward walking not working as intended?

first of I don't mean the W+S slow walking, that works fine, what I'm referring to is the non toggle version in the options 'Slow forward' which would in theory would allow a combat jog of [W] and then a slow walk only while holding [W]+[slow Forward] until released, making it quite useful for inside of buildings and such.

Now is it just me or does this functionality not work what so ever?

Doesnt work for me either, I now only use it in arma2 because we dont have tactical pace there.

Wish I could find a better key bind to toggle Walk. W+S isn't practical and the game doesn't tell apart hold from click, otherwise Shift would do.
