Dear Readers,

As a proud member of the 1st Special Forces Group, I would like to invite you to join our milsim ArmA 3 unit. We are always open for recruitment and are looking for active members that enjoy playing in a tactical manner with people just like themselves. We pride ourselves on rigorous training that we provide for our new enlisted men to get them to the best of their abilities in every way, shape and form. We have an ever growing roster of men that have gone through/are going through training and are looking for even more eager recruits to join our unit.

- Maturity and respect (These must be upheld at all times and can be grounds for dismissal if not kept at a high standard)

- Professional Manner

- Understandable English

- To be able to attend regular training sessions and take part in Operations and Missions

Training Outline

In the 1st Special Forces Group, we have 5 phases of training that range in length.

Phase 1: Preparation Course

Phase 2: Assessment and Selection

Phase 3: OSUT

Phase 4: Q-Course / SERE

Phase 5: Robin Sage

Phase 1 and 2 are used to give the new recruits a feel of our unit and allow us to gain a better insight into how the recruit may perform later on during training. In the 1st Special Forces Group, we also operate the 160th SOAR (Special Operations Aviation Regiment) of which recruits can join flight school after completion of phase 2. This will be explained in more detail later on. If a recruit wishes to continue into the infantry section of the 1st Special Forces Group, they will need to continue training from phase 3 through 5. Phase 5 is Robin Sage where the recruits are required to lead current enlisted men through a mission. Upon completion (or failure), the recruits will be judged on how they performed and can be passed/failed accordingly. If they fail, they will be required to retake the Robin Sage section of training until they pass.

Upon completing training, the recruit will be promoted from Corporal to Sergeant and will be placed into an ODA.

What do we look for in new members?

160th SOAR

The 160th SOAR operate under Captain "Prometheus" Hague's command and make use of all NATO helicopters. After completing Phase 2 of infantry training, recruits may transfer over to the 160th SOAR and undertake flight school where they will learn the ins and outs of helicopter operations in combat and on base. This is not to be taken lightly as the training will be long and hard but will provide the trainee with the skills needed to operate in a combat zone.

I hope this has provided you with a bit of information about our unit and we hope to see you in the combat zone!

Signed,

CPT "Archangel" Burt

160th SOAR

1st Special Forces Group
