TFW 1 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) The Campaign We are Task Force Warfighter, a mature and military oriented clan that strongly utilizes our experiences in our individual military service experience to bring to you an immersive and fun way of playing ARMA. Our missions are custom-built each week to reflect a constantly-changing state of local insurgent cells, civilian populations, and US military presence written by our senior members who have deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan to draw from for material. Each week, we conduct missions based on local actions and available intelligence. Each mission's outcome directly effects the state and actions of friendly, enemy, and civilian forces. This isn't like a game of Insurgency where you wrap around the map and clear towns as they come, but aspects such as taking out key points, regarding the civilian population, and protecting our own forces all go into account when drafting the next mission. We're using ACE, ACRE, and a slowly growing list of mods to model stuff like IED attacks and intelligent civilians. Something like this can be done with mods like Multi-Session Operations, but our missions and situation are written by humans to include things more complex than pushing back an enemy's defensive line. There are things like: capturing HVTs for intel on caches, influencing locals, and any other number of possibilities are open. Note: You don't have to be a super-moto military fanatic to participate. This is not an exact military roleplay where you have to memorize a bunch of useless info. The really technical operations stuff is handled by the top level, and disseminated down to simple objectives at the lower level. We will have brief training on some standard tactics before each session, and you'll need to be able to follow orders and observe some simple protocols for radio communication, formations, etc. With a group of motivated players, we will have a game with the adventure and personal element of a D&D campaign, but set in a modern military simulation. Instead of jumping in a group for a few cool firefights, you'll be fighting a virtual war. Are you ready for the fight? Getting Involved We do have a few requirements. A good attitude, an active presence on the forums (setting up subscription options makes it easy), a few hours of your time every Saturday at 1PM CST and a weekly meeting/check to make sure your mods are working are the core requirements. If you're interested, first read the official requirements here and submit an application.
