However long you make it ;) EDIT: Oh and without wanting to direct the discussion (you all seem to be fuelling it perfectly without my input), the idea of a visible authentication was merely a talking point, nothing more. I'm not setting anything in stone at all, just seeing people's reaction to what a unified system could bring. [aps]gnat 28 Posted September 16, 2013 However long you make it ;) Well, I'm thinking I'm done here already. You're attempting to boil the ocean. Clearly there are NO resources around here to do that. I'd suggest if you really want to continue to push this theme (and fail to put better bounds/usable detail on it) start another thread that picks a smaller part of the theme. In the meantime I discuss my alternate idea elsewhere.
jiltedjock 10 Posted October 4, 2013 Having read this it seems clear that really what this is about is standardizing the release. As anyone who has done any modding in Arma will tell you, the rest of it is almost meaningless in the context of class inheritance etc because the standards are already there - it's the base Arma configs. Unless you want to create a set of assets that are not already in the Arma configs and have other modders build on them, then it might make sense. Example: sci fi assets - new muzzles and ammo are defined by the community, the base config becomes an include in each sci fi mod, and sci fi mods therefore have compatibility.
