Some orders to friendly A.I. grayed out?

Hello, while playing single player and trying to give commands to a.i. in my team a lot of the commands are grayed out and I'm not able to use them. Why is this?

Below is a video of a player using a lot of commands that are grayed out for myself.

"squad be like me", "team, seek cover", are just to name a few.

I find that the commands still work if you use the keys on the keyboard rather than the action menu. eg squad 7 4 for relax, etc
