Sl@sh 0 Posted August 16, 2002 I just got a new computer and i wanted to play ofp with my brother, but only have 1 copy of ofp:resistance. Do I have to buy another copy to play a multiplayer game?
Guest Posted August 16, 2002 Yes, you have to buy another copy. One copy of the game allows you to run it on one computer. You can run a dedicated server without the CD but every client has to have its own copy.
Major Fubar 0 Posted August 16, 2002 Even if you find a no-cd patch (I still maintian these aren't warez, but that's another issue), you would get FADE from both PCs using the same CD key. So unfortunately for you, it looks like you will need another copy. It's a shame most game-makers don't provide a more realistic number to play LAN on one CD, even if it's only 2 or 3 per copy... I never thought of it.
Major Fubar 0 Posted August 16, 2002 I can't think of any off the top of my head, but a lot of games (used to) do this...
