Please adjust stances and recoil for shooting anit-material sniper rifle.

Basically due to the weight of the rifle, your upper body will have to lean back to keep balance, and you should not be able to move freely, and obviously the actual recoil is much less manageable than in game, also a longer lifting time to aim with scope is needed.

Also, it would be graphically great if dirt could be blow up when firing.

The GM-6 looks the be around the same size as the Barret M95, which weighs close to the same as those in the youtube video's though it's not as long. Never held a GM-6 however though so I'm only guessing.

There's no need to guess, the GM-6 is a real weapon.

Here it is being fired while standing with no problems.

While it is true that the guy fired with ease, it is unlikely that he's gonna hit anything. Due to the weight of the rifle it is vary difficult to control the swag of the gun, and even a minor deviation could cause the bullet to miss completely, yet in game such feature is not reflected, you could basically move and snipe as if using assault rifle.

You posted a video of a completely different weapon to make your point, I posted that video to show you the actual weapon being used in a way you said should be impossible. The GM-6 is a bullpup and has a recoil absorbing barrel system, it's specifically designed to be easier to handle than that beast you posted.

No, it's likely he isn't hitting much of anything, but this is definitely modelled in game. While standing, weapon sway makes even a 200m stationary man sized target difficult to hit in a timely fashion. Moving? Forget it.

If you're using this weapon to "snipe" at that range, you're completely wasting it anyway. That's not even sharpshooter territory. If you can run around and quick scope targets at 500m, 800m and 1000m I'll eat my hat.

I don't think you're quite informed about the scope that such change would bring with it. :) It would require a whole new animation tree. What happens with the AI? The result (making shooting standing harder) is not weighted by the amount of work.

As explained by others, e.g. the GM6 has a quite manageable weight and length due to its bullpup and unique recoil compensation design. However, trying to shoot a sniper rifle over large distances in the game is already impossible.

If you have further wishes or feature requests for Arma 3, please use the wishlist thread. Thank you! :)
