Big problem with multiplayer...

Recommended Posts

Hey!

Listen... When i first bought operation flashpoint  MP didnt work coz it kept crashing... then after 1.2 it worked great(except for the lag of course).  Ok heres the problem... just recently i tried to play OFP online.  I hadnt done anything to the settings or comp the night before(which was the last time i have played online)but when i connect to the internet and go into operation flashpoint(just starting it up and not connecting to mplayer) it keeps disconnecting me...  Now this happens on other games online but not all.  Games such as MSFlight Simulater 02, IL2, NOLF and Ghost recon disconnect me...  yet games like Counter-strike, RA2, MOHAA, AOE2 and tribes 2 work fine!  Whats up with my system? confused.gif  Imm getting ADSL in a few months so that should solve the problem...(presumably it wont disconnect me)but thats still a few months and 60 days is a long time to go without good solid OFP mplayer tounge.gif  So does anyone know whats wrong/how to fix it?

Your help would be greatly appreciated smile.gif

BTW i have 1.75 OFP:resistance

hmm without info about your system and hardware specs*write all u can about... especially the models/mark/number/version/years *.

But i suggest u to watch carefully your network/LAN status, got some trouble too with my VIA chipset and my french DSL modem... i cannot have a network card (even if mine is a 100 realtek) with OPF. Second check your API *dunno what it mean but i know what it does.... this is the system drivers for your network.... some software swap the dll to them (by example NWN did it)*.

Another thing is to call your ISP... isp got good cards sometime or some can be bad (me i did because i lost DSL synchro alot... they replaced the central card in their hub-system and now it run fine).

**notice for english user, i try my best to explain in your langage so dont bother me with details: if english is an international speech it's because all the non-english ppl do learn yours: any critics might come with a french version (not done by babelfish thought ;p )***

Most ISP's disconnect you if there's no modem activity for a certain amount of minutes, could it be that?
