looking for help with creating new equpment

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I am new to this form and am looking for help to create my idea. Its a system of operation I invented and patented a year ago and want to see it used in different ways. What is the idea? A system where a firearm magazine is partially ejected from a container so that it may be retrieved by the operator. When the operator removes a mag the next one in series is ejected from the container to take the place of the previous magazine. Empty mags do not have to be dumped on the ground. They are instead placed back into the container through the dump port which is usually opposite the ejection port.

This system has advantages and disadvantages just like any. Some advantages include reduced reload speed (more so then fast mags), Mag capacity (anywhere from 3 to 30 mags but largest I built was 25 M-4 mags), Reduced overall weight, Backwards load out setup (backpack), decreased bulk, less noise(compared to a dump pouch) and so on.

In these videos posted below you can see the different ways I have used this system when worn on the body. I personally like the backpack the most. This idea has always sparked great debate and I expect no less here. I will answer all questions that I am able too but keep in mind this is still in its early concept phase with only light testing done in real world.

I like this idea, but I don't think it would be needed for Arma 3, because the mags just disappear when reloading so they're not even on the ground.

Also it seems like the hole, or slot, in which you put the empty magazine needs to be a bit bigger because say if you were under fire or high stress it would make it a little more difficult to put it in there. No I have never used a magazine dump pouch, but I think it would be more convenient to just have a magazine dump pouch. BUT still keep this to have the fresh mags because it seems like a quick way to grab your fresh mag. But then again you loose the advantage of less noise. Good idea though!

And sadly I'm not sure how to get something like this into Arma 3. IF you did you would also ne new reload animations for all the guns to they reach the right places.
