Is the multiplayer nearly dead or is it an issue?

The problem is that I've tried ARMA 3 alpha on my friend's PC a while ago and got hooked, when I actually bought the game 2 days ago, I thought the multiplayer and the COOP experience is going to be a lot more populated than the alpha, just to find out that there are actually few servers with cool COOP. Wasteland is like Dayz which I never liked. I'm really more into COOP and following orders. Tactical play too. Here's an image of what I'm seeing:

as you can see these are the top 10 most populated servers. So only a total of 150-200 are actually playing arma? I don't get it, something must be wrong right?

BTW: I live in EU if this has to do with anything

Checking steam, there are about 4500 people playing Arma 3 beta right now :) During the weekends it's even more.

Are you on the dev or stable branch?

I'm on ARMA III BETA 0.74.108135

After I purchased it on steam, I clicked install game. It downloaded around 5 gigs and I launched it.

Hello again, I might have solved the issue on my own (took me couple of hours, should've tried before posting :) )

Just for future help I will include the solution in here:

Went to multiplayer, clicked on filter, clicked on default, then set min. players to say 5 or 10, then click OK. Now click refreash and wait a couple of seconds, then click again and just a couple more times and it showed me around 40 servers (almost full too!)

Imonars, sometimes the multiplayer browser does not work right. Click refresh a few times and that always gets the full list for me. If that doesn't work you may want to check your filters on the bottom left. If you want a co-op/tactical mix try and play CTI game mode on a server that shows the map as BE (benny edition). Great game mode!

We're always filling up the IC server when we decide to jump in and play. The problem in my eyes is that most people seem to be wasting their time on that useless (in my opinion!) Wasteland map/mod. We're going to be hosting a Team v Team tournament in ARMA3 and maybe that'll settle your multiplayer woes?

its the gamespy browser borking out indeed.. has always been like that in arma2 aswell

you either need to get used to spamming the refresh button for servers to show, or hope BIS wil implement steamworks for the MP framework :)
