Tike 10 Posted August 3, 2013 Hello, I wanted to ask if somehow fake fullscreen mode is possible? I've tried changing my arma2OA.cfg resolutions, make it write protected and launching my game with the -windowed startup parameter, which though leaves the taskbar infront of the windowed borderless Arma 2. Does anybody have a other idea how to get this mode working?
orcinus 121 Posted August 4, 2013 Hello,I wanted to ask if somehow fake fullscreen mode is possible? I've tried changing my arma2OA.cfg resolutions, make it write protected and launching my game with the -windowed startup parameter, which though leaves the taskbar infront of the windowed borderless Arma 2. Does anybody have a other idea how to get this mode working? You could set the task bar to "Autohide", though it would likely pop up again if you move the cursor to the bottom of the screen. Setting the taskbar to as low a height as possible before playing would minimise those occurrences. Very easy to change the taskbar height back & forth ("use small icons", etc.). Depends on the size of your screen whether it is worth doing. I have my windowed mode set as follows: winX=0; winY=0; winW=1920; winH=1172; winDefW=1920; winDefH=1172; Render_W=1920; Render_H=1172; The difference between that and full-screen mode on a 24" 1920 x 1200 screen is trivial. On, say, a 15" laptop screen it may be different.
Tike 10 Posted August 4, 2013 If you have a 1080 screen, why put 1172 there?
orcinus 121 Posted August 4, 2013 It's a 1920 x 1200 screen - 16:10 not 16:9. Leaves my small taskbar visible for convenience yet still makes maximum use of the screen real estate.
Tike 10 Posted August 5, 2013 (edited) I get it, you make Arma 2 be a little bit over the auto hide taskbar. Not what I expected but it'll work. Thanks for your help. Edited August 5, 2013 by Tike
