johncalvinhall 10 Posted August 2, 2013 Hello! Have bought Arma III several months back, so I went ahead and purchased Arma II on Steam. Everything looks great, but the tutorial is giving me absolute fits! I can go and run the obstacle course just fine. Once done, I run to the firing range. The instructor tells me to fire off a few rounds before trying the range, and I do this. Once I am ready, the instructor doesn't tell me anything else! I go to the waypoint, I can squat and fire, crouch and fire, and go prone and fire, but the instructor doesn't speak to me any more. I can run up to him, and run around, but nothing! What am I doing wrong???
mrcash2009 0 Posted August 2, 2013 Its advised to purchase Arma2 Combined Operations, that is Arma2 + Operation Arrowhead ... unfortunately Arma2 at the time didnt have a very well polished tutorial and did have bugs ... Operation arrowhead however had a far more solid tutorial structure, BI learned from this hence what's coming with Arma3. Arma2 without arrowhead isnt the best, it ends up that they should be bought as one, you never said that you had combined ops so I assume you just had arma2 only? Personally I hated the Arma2 tutorials, Arrowhead did the job far better.
johncalvinhall 10 Posted August 2, 2013 I do have both Arma II and OA. I love both Arma II and Arma III, but I have to admit that you're right: Arma II tutorials really stink!
