Ceyan 0 Posted August 6, 2002 I've got a small problem when playing Mutliplayer (which I only did last night, but it happened twice last night and I know it wasn't a boot (after the first time) so I thought I'd ask about ithere), roughly after an hour or two of play OFP crashed to the desktop with no error message. I've got OFP Gold, with Resistance, one with the old CDs that don't work, but I requested a new one and patched OFP patches to update until reaching 1.46 and then patched the exe to remove protection. I played the first two campaigns all the way through over the past three days (nothing else to do since I was stuck at home, plus I love the game, perhaps too much) and I never had any problem despite playing for 7-8 hours straight in one sitting. I'm just going to post sections of DxDiag.txt since it's easier than writing out system information. ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 8/6/2002, 11:28:13 Machine name: CEYAN Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) (2600.xpclnt_qfe.010827-1803) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: System Manufacturer System Model: System Name BIOS: ASUS - 42302e31 Processor: AMD Athlon XP 2100+, MMX, 3DNow, ~1732MHz Memory: 512MB RAM Page File: 122MB used, 1128MB available Primary File System: n/a DirectX Version: DirectX 8.1 (4.08.01.0810) DX Setup Parameters: Not found DxDiag Version: 5.01.2600.0000 32bit Unicode --------------- Display Devices --------------- Card name: NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200 Manufacturer: NVIDIA Chip type: GeForce3 Ti 200 DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC Device ID: Enum\PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0201&SUBSYS_610D147B&REV_A3 Display Memory: 64.0 MB Current Mode: 1024 x 768 (32 bit) (85Hz) Monitor: Plug and Play Monitor Monitor Max Res: 1600,1200 Driver Name: nv4_disp.dll Driver Version: 6.13.10.2942 (English) DDI Version: 8 (or higher) Driver Attributes: Final Retail Driver Date/Size: 5/3/2002 1060, 3539018 bytes Driver Signed: Yes ------------- Sound Devices ------------- Description: SB Live! Mister Frag 0 Posted August 6, 2002 Read THIS article. Also, if you have a NoCD hack applied to your game, don't expect any support from Codemasters or the moderators -- chances are that this thread will get locked soon.
Ceyan 0 Posted August 6, 2002 Normally the NoCD patches being a problem is understandable, but considering it's the only way to play the game until we get an updated CD...
