And there's a troubleshooting forum : http://forums.bistudio.com/forumdisplay.php?83-ARMA-2-amp-OA-TROUBLESHOOTING It's an hp laptop, I5, with an intell GPU, normally i would think its the gpu. but I have run the stand alone arma 2 and oa with no issues before, from a friends install key. I bought the game for myself thru steam and now have this issue. 8 of the 10 boxes check on the initial load window. then it just locks up. and i get the not responding windows from windows asking if i want to close the program or let it keep running. If i try to let it keep running it does nothing just sits with the little box with 8 of 10 boxes checked. I'v tried running steam as admin, and even loaded the exe for arma 2 and oa as admin manually thru the install folder. I get the same thing no matter what i do. I even tried running with different parameters. windowed mode, forced dx9. nothing changes Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
orcinus 121 Posted July 31, 2013 Have you run the Steam "verify" tool? - no idea how you find that, but there is one & it will find any corrupted files & repair/replace them. Also look for "Arma2OA.rpt" - locations varies with OS & with Steam vs DVD install - , open with notepad & see if there are any error messages. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
