FSPilot 0 Posted August 4, 2002 Ok, well, I started playing this campaign a little while back, just because Russians are cool. But the campaign was hard, so I ended up cheating my way through it, and eventually didn't complete the campaign, I just wanted to end it. So I'm on the last mission where you're in the forest and being chased by all those NATO guys. I kill them all (or the rest run away), then make my way through the forest. What the... AMBUSH! All these guys with M-60s, 2 apaches, and a Kiowa are waiting at the cars (my extraction point) and of course they proceed to shoot me. So the next time I sneak up on them. Using whatever gun I had (I think Bizon?) I shoot the pilot in one helicopter, it crashes, I start taking out the M-60 gunners, and shoot the pilot in another helicopter (now both the apaches are down, one went into the forest, and it's pretty damaged, the other just has a dead pilot and a hopeless AI gunner). So I sneak around some, take out the rest of the M-60 gunners, and get in the AH-64. The Kiowa is still flying about so I shoot it down, then fly around for a little bit. All the enemy is either dead or running away. So anyway, I end up having to select the "Surrender" option and end the game, then end up in front of a firing squad (a violation of the geneva convention, I might add, hehe). So is there any way to get around this? How can I complete the mission without surrendering.
Nagual 0 Posted August 4, 2002 hehe, thats one way to get around the ambush. At the time of making that campaign i was fairly restricted with dynamic paths due to keeping track of the squad, so with the new resistance code there may just be a different ending.... but for the time being that is the end (its the start of a different campaign). Espectro (DayZ) 0 Posted August 4, 2002 What about mods that include both a set of addons and a campaign, such as the WW2 team and invasion1944 till have? Where does it belong, under "mods" or "editing"?
FSPilot 0 Posted August 5, 2002 A campaign is an addon, you don't edit it.
peeps 0 Posted August 5, 2002 a campaign is a group of missions put together so mission editing would b better, addon and mods is for custom made units and vehicles etc. ain't that right moderator folks
Nagual 0 Posted August 6, 2002 making the misisons is only part of campaign making, half the work (or more) is outside the editor, staring at lines of text in notepad. It takes endless hours of hard work to make a semi-decent campaign. And it actually sucks that to present one to the community, it must be done from a part of the forum that recieves minimal traffic. And what about campaigns that are finished, and no longer being edited, why should they go in the same forum where questions like "how do i place a unit with the editor?" go. Hmmm....
