Kevlarburrito 10 Posted July 16, 2013 I'm having an issue that I cannot seem to locate a solution to. It only occurs in Arma 2 and the addons. Arma 3 and all my other games run just fine, on high or highest settings. The issue is that the game will freeze up for a moment, as if loading something, and then the screen will go completely black, however the game will still be running. I can hear myself moving, the radio, vehicles, etc. I cannot seem to locate a solution despite searching various forums. I have included my specs and can provide dxdiag should it be required. Specs: OS: Windows 7 Professional 64bit Processor: Intel Core i7 2.67Ghz (8 CPUs) Memory: 8192mb RAM DDR3 Video Card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 275 4068mb Sound: Creative SB X-Fi I'm at a lost as to what I should do to rectify the issue. If there is a solution on these forums, I was unable to locate it, but I would appreciate it if anyone that does know of such solution, would be so kind as to provide a link, or otherwise offer aid. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond!
orcinus 121 Posted July 17, 2013 Are there any error or warning messages in a) the RPT file b) the Windows system & application logs (Event viewer) c) if NVIDIA has a log ib the event viewer (like the ACEE log for AMD cards) take a look there also. You mentioned "Arma 2 & addons". Does this happen with vanilla A2 / CO?
Kevlarburrito 10 Posted July 17, 2013 Where would the rpt file be located? And it is occurring in vanilla and CO.
orcinus 121 Posted July 18, 2013 It's a bit variable - varies with OS & whether you installed from a DVD or Steam. Easiest was is to search C:\ for "Arma2OA.rpt". Make a shortcut to it on the desktop for convenience; the RPT messages are very useful when bumbling one's way into scripting as well as troubleshooting,
