lonesoldier 0 Posted August 4, 2002 ok heres my problem. I got resistance yesterday and installed it, and whenever i get in a vehicle there is an annoying buzzing and crackling sound and as the engine gets louder the buzzing gets worse. So i have to press escape then go back into the mission and the buzz stops until i get in another vehicle. It sounds like an old radio with no reception and gets to the point where it is unacceptable to play. My sound card is a Sound Blaster Live! DE 5.1 Special Edition. In ofp the sound settings are: Hardware acceleration: On EAX: On Voices: All Now what the HELL is wrong? I would actually like to enjoy the game instead of hearing bees buzzing around. Placebo 12 Posted August 4, 2002 This is a very common problem and has been widely reported, for example here, do a search for static or crackle, in future please look around the forum before posting. Try downloading the new (17/07) drivers from Creative if you haven't already.
