marshmanguy 0 Posted August 2, 2002 I try and play resistance on the internet and it says 'users\marshmanguy\UserInfo.ctg.tl':'(this is a square symbol i don't know how to type it)' encountered instead of '='. What do I do?
Placebo 29 Posted August 2, 2002 Sounds to me like your user file has gotten corrupted, I'd suggest deleting that cfg file and starting again, it will mean you have to set up your keys and stuff again but in theory should let you play on the net
marshmanguy 0 Posted August 2, 2002 Thanks that worked but now I am presented with a new problem. On the original ofp I had sound problems but if I fiddle with the sound options it went away. Now that ive got resistance that is all gone except the vehicle distortions which I can get rid of by changing views (if ne1 could fix that two it would be great as I can't fix it when its a cutscene or other vehicles) but becuase of the solution offered I can now play on the internet and only when I 'm on the internet does the sound go crazy even if I fiddle with the options its still there. I have searched and found this problem but every computer is different and my problem is only on internet games. i was using the SBLive! thing but I'm switching tooSound Max digital audio to see if it helps. If owever it doesn't could someone help please?
