Morgan32 10 Posted July 5, 2013 Hello, I have been looking for helicopter missions or scenarios where I can train flying or controlling a helicopter on loss of Engine power (Main Rotor being red, no fuel, etc) and one where I can train loss of Tail Rotor and controlling the helicopter. I have searched on Google for a bit but I can't seem to find any of these in an easy manner. Is there any way I can go this in Armory or something?

Morgan32 10 Posted July 5, 2013 This only gives me training with the MH-6. Also, the only way to disable the Tail Rotor on that mission is to make the heli components all red, which also leaks the fuel within seconds (giving me barely any time to actually do stuff) I was hoping I could train with more than this helicopter (For example the UH-1H)
orcinus 121 Posted July 6, 2013 You can make basic training missions yourself. Open the editor & place an empty chopper (or as many types as you want to fly). Place a unit as player. Then get into the chopper of your choice. To avoid having to restart continually because of pranging the heli, you can place this allowdamage false; in the init lines of the chopper(s) and your unit (makes them invulnerable). When you feel confident you have a basic ability, remove those lines. Place enemy targets like vehicles & groups of foot soldiers several km away for target practice. When you get bored with static targets, give them a few waypoints with varied speed settings (limited, normal, & full). Liven it up further by placing enemy grunts with AA missiles &/or AA statics. You can also spawn enemy aircraft for aerial combat practice. Have fun :) Orc

Though, I don't see how this will help me train on emergency landings and regaining control after tail rotor loss. Edited July 6, 2013 by Morgan32
