26th MEU

Introduction:

Hello, my name is Corporal K. Chief and we are an ArmA II CO realism unit. We want to achieve the most realistic way of playing the game. Therefor we use mods such as ACE and ACRE. Our unit represents 26th MEU from Marine Expeditionary Force II (MEFII). Therefor we are well structured/organized. We also have a Teamspeak 3 server. Our official operations and trainings are on Friday’s and Saturday’s 7PM (GMT, London Time).

Requirements:

- Must be atleast 15 years old.

- Must have an working microphone.

- Must have working copy of ArmA II and ArmA II OA.

- Must have Teamspeak 3.

- Must speak the english language properly.

- Must be an active player.

- Must show repect towards the superiors.

- Must be showing teamwork

How to join:

First of all, the player needs to contact us on our Teamspeak 3 , our website, our servers or Steam. After a succesful application the player will await first phase training. This training cosists out of the most basic subjects we conduct in 26th MEU. These subjects are: shooting Test, navigation, ACE system, basic radio communication, weapon familirization, and basic formations. After the player finished his first phase, he will await second phase. Here the player will learn the following subjects: advanced formations, fireteam manouvre, advanced radio communication and contact spotting. After the player finished 2nd phase, he will be an official member. From here the player will move on to third phase. With the third phase the player will learn: building clearing, convoy movement, all aspects in radio communication and town sweeping. After succesfully completing the third phase, the player is assigned as a PFC. This means that the player is part of the combat roster and that he is able to play official operations and trainings. The player will earn his rank slowly, by showing respect, activity and loyalty towards the unit. Be advised, because we strive to be as realistic as possible, the ranking system doesn’t allow the player to rank up fast.

Organization:

26th MEU is one of the three MEU's from MEFII. Its devided into an infantry battalion (3rd Battalion, 2nd Marines), an aviation squadron (VMM-266) and a logistics battalion. Our unit is deployed as India Company. India Company is a normal Rifle company consisting out of 3 rifle platoons and 1 weapon platoon. Our unit is currently filling up one of the rifle platoons. A full platoon has a size of 42 marines. A platoon is devided in platoon HQ and 3 rifle squads. Each squad consist of 13 Marines ( Including the SQL( Sgt)). The squad is devided in 3 fireteams, Alpha, Bravo and Charlie. A fireteam consists of 4 Marines ( Including: Fireteam Leader (Cpl), Rifleman/Pointman ( PFC- LCpl), Automatic Rifleman (PFC- LCpl), Assist Automatic Rifleman (PFC-LCpl).

Our unit requires the ACE/ACEX mods, however our staff can always help you obtaining other mods like LEA and ACRE etc.

Weekly Update:

Operation:

26th MEU is taking part of Operation Red Hammer. This is a deployment in Chernarus, to remove the chedaki threat wich have occupied the country of Chernarus. 26th MEU have made a FOB at Chernogorks and from here, the elements will conduct assaults, patrols etc. Operation Red Hammer will be an operation joinable for other realism units as well.

Available Positions:

Because we are still filling up our first squad, only the 0311 Rifleman position is open so far.

Donations:

People are now able to make donations for our unit, to obtain a dedicated server.

Layout update:

22nd MEU joined 26th MEU, so the unit opened its 2nd Rifle Squad. Due to 2nd Rifle Squad being very similar to 1st Squad, only the rifleman position is open.

26th MEU Dedicated Server:

26th MEU now got their dedicated server. Due to the NOT HUGE UNIT, we have chosen for a 24 slot server. We host a custom made Insurgency on it. Also this is the server where COOPs will be played on.

Operation:

Operation Red Hammer is going very well. The south coast of Zagoria Province ( Chernarus) is almost completly cleared. The remaining Chedaki troops in will be destroyed in upcoming operations / patrols. Also US Forces are working on Camp Toronto, wich will be placed next to Balota Airfield.

Layout update:

We are now introducing the M27IAR in our squads which mainly takes over the M249 SAW. Currently 2nd Squad is still filling up.

26th MEU Dedicated Server:

We are soon going to expand the Dedicated server to 30 slots!

Donations:

Donations are not a requirement in this unit, but are always much appreciated!

Age Requirement:

Next month, 26th MEU will increase its age minimum up to 16+.

Update:

Operation Red Hammer:

26th MEU secured the South Coast of Zagoria and are now moving up north into the mainlands. Camp Toronto at Balota, will be finished in a couple of weeks.

Layout Update:

The M27IAR is again replaced by the M249 due to specific roles within fireteams. Also, 26th MEU now has 26 Members on roster and is therefor opening 3rd Squad.

Dedicated:

This Month, 26th MEU will be running two dedicated servers. A 24 Slot Server and a 30 Slot Server.

Age Requirement:

The age requirement is now set to 16 +

Update:

Operation Red Hammer:

With CDF getting more ground each day, the Chedaki threatened to conduct airstrikes upon its villages and cities. The chedaki have now established a good position around Vybor Village and have stationed numerous SU-25 at the airbase. 26th MEU is to secure this as soon as possible. With still many Chedaki Forces around the Southern parts of the province, this will be a long lasting Campaign. Luckily enough, 26th MEU secured Tulga, a little village NE of Kamyshovo. On 11-8-2013, ICOY was tasked with securing both Kamyshovo and Tulga. This because, intelligence elements recently receive intel from NAPA (Local guerilla organization) about Chedaki Forces settled in both Kamyshovo and Tulga again ( Both villages were secured earlier by Friendly Forces). The patrol was a succes with 26th MEU having 15 confirmed kills, finding/destroying 3 Chedaki weapon cache's and 1 UAZ 50.CAL. 26th MEU had no friendly KIA's, but lost two humvees within heavy Firefights. The date of next patrol is still unkown. Camp Toronto at Balota Airfield, will be finished at 25/08/2013.

Recruit Training Area:

We now have improved trainings for recruits. The recruit training will last around 2 hours over a period of two days.

Dedicated Server:

The 24 slot dedicated server has been removed and replaced by a 30 slot server. Tho the 30 slot server will be officially up in around a week, due to maintainence.

Layout Update:

Everybody from 2nd and 3rd Squad are now compressed into one squad, due to activity (even if you have numerous amounts of members, you will never get them all in a game.) . Our current number is now 25 players in 1st Squad, we will maximize 1st squad to 26 members.
