VaeVictis 1 Posted June 26, 2013 Hello, Firstly I would like to thank all of the people who are creating missions. I have a simple suggestion which would benefit all of us. The fact is that many missions are named as author pleases and then is quite difficult to select a mission from all the names and choose the mission for the specific number of players. I am suggesting a simple mission name template. Something like this: CO-04_SD_NAME_OF_THE_MISSION_STRATIS.STRATIS.PBO file CO-04_SD_NAME_OF_THE_MISSION_STRATIS CO - Cooperation style of mission. or SP - Single player style of mission. SD - Search and destroy or HO - Hostage or DO - Domination etc. NAME_OF_THE_MISSION - Name of your mission. STRATIS - Name of the island or ALTIS - Name of the island What do you guys and gals think, and ideas, any suggestions?
SavageCDN 231 Posted June 26, 2013 Tried and failed in Arma and Arma 2 :p There are threads here already going over this but it's difficult to get people to observe any kind of standard. For our own server I usually de-pbo the mission and rename it to something like: co32_ACE_MissionName_v2.stratis.pbo In addition to changing the name as it appears in the mission list (usually just edit the mission.sqm). Might be a bit redundant putting in the island name.
2nd ranger 282 Posted June 26, 2013 There's only one naming convention present in the Arma series, and that is that 90% of all missions ever made are called OPERATION: something.
