Possible to respawn in place of an AI ally in multiplayer?

Hello,

Is it possible if say.. a group of friends and I were playing a 2v2, right? Each of us is in a separate squad with three AI team mates to simulate an 8v8 environment. If one player goes down on their player character, can they take over one of the AI in their squad to continue playing, or are they doomed to sit and watch? (Respawns will remain disabled, simply taking place of a friendly, alive soldier IE Ghost Recon 1)

Yes in your description.ext file you need to put:

respawn = 4;

which tells Arma to respawn you into another alive unit in your group. If there are no units left alive in your group you become a seagull (spectator)
