Tyl3r99 41 Posted June 7, 2013 hi BIS, and community... is there anyway of letting us know which areas you plan to optimize? for example today on DEV branch there was an 60% optimization on LOD popping i believe? im sure you have something hidden away ;) so other than the obvious tweaks such as CPU and GPU what other areas are you looking into? (JUST THOUGHT ID ASK THE QUESTION AS THERE IS NO HARM IN ASKING :D )
Insanatrix 0 Posted June 7, 2013 It was a 60% increase to LOD loading, not the popping issue. For instance, stand about 500-600 meters from Agia Marina and then switch to an optic and see how long it takes for the LOD's to switch from low to high. I would also like to know what optimizations they are aiming for as well though.

I7 3790x 3.5ghz x1 GTX690 250gb SSD (steam is installed on SSD) 16gb ram 2TB hard drive windows 7 64 bit but thank you for the insight :) ---------- Post added at 23:09 ---------- Previous post was at 23:06 ---------- i also hear that NVIDIA are helping BIS, does anyone know when this will be happening? I was just explaining what the optimization they did meant. I wasn't complaining about it. Thank you though for the advice.
