Warmoer 1 Posted May 22, 2013 I just read in the latest development update (22 May) that the single slot savegame mechanism will be brought back, and that only Recruit level will have multiple saves. This is a step in the wrong direction, together with some other animation "tweaks" that is making the movement system less pleasant than it was at the start of the Alpha. Whilst the Devs are perhaps satisfying the requests of a vocal minority, you are likely to lose the ground you gained with potential new customers to the series. There is a fine line between perceived realism and fun - good luck with that. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

chortles 263 Posted May 23, 2013 I'm also displeased with the animation change(s), but this... honestly isn't much something that I'm not already used to coming from AAA games with auto-save, and whether or not it works/is okay comes down to whether or not the mission design is done well within the "one-save slot" constraint. Now watch BI and the majority of the SP mission-maker scene fail at just that. :p Then again, as with (frankly) most of the AAA shooters, the SP seems to be nowhere near what the majority of both "veteran" players and newcomers were showing up for anyway.
