This is not to be taken the wrong way.  I do not want a "let's fly into the scyscrapers" mission.  That is utterly disgusting. My point with these pics is that this can be modelled quite easily, and would not tax the CPU, because a huge building could be as low as 5 poly's.  They would of course not be playable, but there could be street battles and heli chases around the buildings. It could be quite fantastic. Konyak 0 Posted November 11, 2001 *put's his finger on Jamesias' gun and gently directs it towards CM or BIS* I'm not one to put excessive pressure on these hard working guys, but we'll be needing the model import tools from BIS for this to be a reality, ok? And OperationFPoint, no, these are not taken from Flight Simulator. The sky and cockpit are OFP, but the buildings are photographs. And to the one who was wondering what the Chinook was trying to do: Nothing, that is just the way they accelerate in OFP, pretty wild:) It's from the same screenshot as the cockpit. NovaPhoenix 0 Posted November 12, 2001 Problem with big low polygon things. Their fill rate. As much as it is a low polygon, the fill rate of the entire thing would take ages, then add all the buildings and stuff, it would chug things out. Good example is a city area in flightsim. Lansen 0 Posted November 12, 2001 I cant understand why you chose Manhattan. Why not an other city?
Guest Posted November 13, 2001 @ Lansen The same reason why CRIMECITY-MOD is in Manhattan too. It is the best known city ( and skyline) in the world. It is the city of cities. All over the world it is thé most known skyline, and an obvious choice as a background in a mod
