Does it make any difference which installation I run?

Recommended Posts

I've installed Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead (they came in a single pack) in the same directory. I plan on playing Harvest Red (I assume that's the main Arma2 campaign) first. I was wondering if it makes any difference if I play the Arma 2 installation or the Operation Arrowhead installation.

What's the difference between the single player "campaigns" and "expansions"?

Also, Operation Arrowhead is v1.59. Does it need to be patched further if I don't have the Reinforcements DLC?

Many thanks.

Yes, always patch your game to newest version. First install patch v1.60-this will also update Arma 2 to v1.09. Then install patch v1.62 for OA-this will update also A2 to v1.11. After this both your games will be in newest versions.

Allways play your game as Combined Operations, A2+OA, you can use then all mods, campaigns, missions that are made for game.

If you will launch only A2 and in mission there will be something from OA you will not launch that mission. The same situation wenn you launch only OA and in mission will be something from A2. That's why always run Arma 2 CO. :)
