How Do I Edit A MP Mission That Can ONLY Be Edited In Arma 2 CO/DayZ?

I have a dayz server, and im trying to use a mission file to use a locationfinder tool to get lootspawns for my new building (kind of weird story, and long to explain).

Anyways, basically, the only way i can get it to work is if i can somehow get the mission to edit in Combined Operations, because the editor add-on only works for ao2 CO that i need to insert my building.

I know that you can put the folder in your arma 2 missions to make it editable in Arma 2, but there is no "Editor" option in the multiplayer mission screen for CO, it only says "Play Mission"

Anyways, so the goal is to somehow open the MP mission in editor of CO

In regards of editing the mission there is no difference between a MP and SP mission; both of them are to be opened with the (sp) editor.

Put the MP mission of dayz (usuall the dayz_server) into your MPMissions-Folder in your Arma2 CO Folder, start the game and go to the editor, choose Chernarus as the world and load the mission in there.

You should consider loading the dayz mod while starting Arma to supress some warnings/error messages in the editor.

And as everybody else did - questions regarding DayZ aren't answered here, please use the official DayZ-Forum to do so or at least try to "mask" your question ;)

Im not opening my server mission file, im opening a mission file (multiplayer mission) that i need to use for a feature it has (Current Worldspace)

If i use the Ctrl + E editor and pick chernarus, it doesn't showup in the list, if i try to host a game, and click editor in the multiplayer mission select screen it doesn't show either like it does in regular arma

You need to have your mission file unpbo'd in your Arma 2 Profiles / mpmissions folder under your documents folder. Can't say for sure where you find this, since I've got mine under Arma 2 Other Profiles, whereas my buddies have theirs under Arma 2 Profiles.

When you have the mission under the MPMissions folder in the profiles folder, the mission should show up in your multiplayer editor. It won't show up in the 3D editor, because 2D and 3D mission files are different.
