Munka 1 Posted March 29, 2013 Hi...I am having problems with Aiming Deadzone making me look all over the place so turn it off with the slider in "Game " options to correct the problem (Staring at sky or feet)...when I click OK it works but as soon as I seem to click ANY other "Options" key the slider for Aiming Deadzone moves fully to the right again and switches back on ...is the OK button the only way to save options or is there another method?...or is there a way to edit the config file to turn off selected options (Such as this one) altogether?...have tried exiting game after adjustment to see if it will save ....but it dosnt save my changes for when I restart. St. Jimmy 272 Posted March 29, 2013 Go in C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\Arma 3 Alpha and open yourusername with notepad. In the bottom you find floatingZoneArea that you edit to 0 and then save.
Munka 1 Posted March 30, 2013 Hi St Jimmy...thanks for your reply...as I am a bit of a Newbie to Arma I have another question....below is a copy of the line you mentioned ..it seems to be already at "0" but with other numbers following......do I just remove the other numbers and leave the "0" in place on its own (keeping a copy of the extra numbers in case I have to replace them at any time??)..thanks again for your help...its guys like you and EDcase that help new guys like me get into the game without us ripping all our hair out....I need all I have left at my age lol..I may appear a bit slow but I dont want to alter anything until I am sure. floatingZoneArea=0.40000001;

Munka 1 Posted March 30, 2013 Thanks Fuse...I was under the (mistaken) impression that it should just be a "1" or a "0" for ON or OFF....didnt realise that the settings were incremental!...anyway have tried setting it as I said in the last reply and so far it seems to work...thanks for everyones help once more :-)
