doveman 7 Posted March 21, 2013 In both A2 and A3 Alpha I have to set Mouse Smoothing to 100%, otherwise it's very jerky when panning my gun sight left or right. Yet I see experienced players advising that we disable smoothing, so I can't help but feel I'm at a disadvantage by having to have it on full. I'm using an A4Tech X-748K gaming mouse http://www.x7.cn/en/product.asp?id=40 set to 1000hz/1ms.
Chrono_Binder 1 Posted March 21, 2013 Zero smoothing is faster than 100%. But really, you will not win any battles by having zero smoothing.
chrisb 196 Posted March 21, 2013 I have mouse smoothing on 100%, just better I find. Sensitivities at default, then set the mouse up properly in the mouse software. I have the Roccat Kone Plus, nice and easy to set it up correctly. I just want smooooothhhh.:)

I thought perhaps something must be wrong with my setup as it's impossible for me to use it on less than 100% (well certainly I tried at 50% and 75%) and as I said, I've seen experienced players saying it should be disabled, which didn't make sense. There's not really much to setup in my mouse software, other than Report Rate, button bindings and DPI steps.
Sneakers O'Toole 2 Posted March 21, 2013 Ideally I think it's better to use the full dpi of your mouse, which will obviously make it ridiculously over sensitive, but to then lower the sensitivity in-game. So you get maximum hardware sensitivity.

So you get maximum hardware sensitivity. Maybe but I recall reading that anything over about 2000 is pretty pointless anyway and I like to be able to switch DPI in-game for sniping, quick turns, etc so have the button toggle between 600, 1200 and 2400 using 1200 mostly.
