ALPHA CRASH on start-up [FIX FIX FIX]

Hopefully this will fix most of all the "crash on start-up" problems people (including myself) have been having. Please rate this tutorial accordingly with whatever rating system this forum has. I made my account on here just to make this since it happened to myself and a few friends of mine. Hope it helps! :p

1. Ensure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card.

2. TURN OFF ALL SOFTWARE OVERCLOCKING FOR YOUR GPU. This is a big one that most people don't think of but it's what fixed it for me and for a few of my buddies who would crash on startup too. Close programs like MSI Afterburner, etc. You can start them back up after successful launch. Also related: Benchmarking will cause it to crash (refer to #4).

2. Validate Steam cache files (Right click game in Steam Library and go to Preferences. In the "Local Files" tab at the top of the new window there will be an option called "Verify integrity of game cache", click that).

3. Ensure you're running the game as administrator. (You can launch it through the file path [x86>steam>steamapps>common>Arma 3>arma3.exe] right-click>run as admin to launch as admin).

4. Run DXSETUP.EXE even if you know you have the latest version (x86>steam>steamapps>common>Arma 3>directx>DXSETUP.EXE).

5. Set custom start-up options. (Right click game in Steam Library, click Preferences. In the first tab "General" there will be an option called "Set launch options", Click it and type "-nobenchmark -nosplash" without quotation marks).

6. Restart Steam and your computer if you haven't already.

7. If all else has failed, try reinstalling and repeat the steps above... Sorry if you've gotten this far but this is the end.
