mister2cc 10 Posted March 16, 2013 Hi all, I haven't been so lucky to even see the intro screen of the game, as it crashes at launch. I click on the exe file, wait some second and then nothing, the application crashes. Any help? Does anybody experienced and solved it already? Thanks! teisco 10 Posted April 24, 2013 Exact same thing here, why no answers or ideas on this problem?
dale 11 Posted April 24, 2013 are you running fraps or xfire? both are common crashes to games. If your running fraps, or even any kind of recording software, you have to wait for the game to start and then start up your recording software. Xfire you should delete anyway as its slowly being decommissioned.
wok 1 Posted April 24, 2013 Try using -nobenchmark command line option. Right click on Arma III in your Steam Library>Properties>Set launch options I heard that fixes some crashes issues.
teisco 10 Posted April 24, 2013 Thanks, I am not using any recording software. The crash starts the minute I click on play from the steam list. I will try the -nobenchmark command. Ok, -nobenchmark command did not help.
MadM0nkey 1 Posted April 24, 2013 for those having the "display driver has recovered" ctd when runing arma3alpha I was having these same issues at first, I have a minor tweak fix for you guys to try, it seemed to work on my end. IMPORTANT: if your using nvidea update your video driver to 314.22 1) right click arma3alpha.exe > properties >Compatibility tab > under settings tick the box Disable display scaling on high DPI settings. 2) if this doesn't work then try also to add this batch command line parameter: set __COMPAT_LAYER=Win98 1024×768 3) use a .bat to launch arma 3 this is how my arma3alpha.bat looks using @allinarma mod you may need to change some paths/settings depending on what you are using. rem rem Adjust the path with your local path rem set ARMA3_PATH=C:\Games\ArmA3 set ARMA2_PATH=C:\Games\ArmA2 set ARMA2OA_PATH=C:\Games\ArmA2OA rem Define your additional modfolders set CUSTOM_MODS=@CBA_A3;@AllInArma;@mad_build;@mad_resh rem Adjust your parameters set DEFAULT_PARAMETERS=-nosplash -skipintro -world=empty -noFilePatching set DEVELOPMENT_PARAMTERS=-window -showScriptErrors set PROFILE_PARAMETERS="-profiles=%ARMA3_PATH%" "-name=administrator" set __COMPAT_LAYER=Win98 1024×768 rem rem DONT MODIFY ANYTHING BELOW rem cd /D "%ARMA3_PATH%" arma3.exe %DEFAULT_PARAMETERS% %DEVELOPMENT_PARAMTERS% %PROFILE_PARAMETERS% "-mod=%CUSTOM_MODS%;@AllInArma\ProductDummies;%TKOH_PATH%;%ARMA2_PATH%;%ARMA2OA_PATH%;%ARMA2OA_PATH%\Expansion;%ARMA3_PATH%;@AllInArma\Core;@AllInArma\PostA3" exit hope this helps
