zxc 0 Posted July 16, 2002 Yo! I've got a joystick microsoft sidewinder precision pro and it never EVER worked with Ofp! I tried Windows 98SE, 2000, XP, with and without sidewinder software (3.02), every possible settings ie. game port, USB, any setting inside the game and this during several months, nothing ever changed. I just gave up the idea to pilot planes with a joystick. Being French, I use the French language during the game coz' I'm a lazy bastard but 1 day, I forgot to change it and left it in english. Guess what? THE JOYSTICK BLOODY WORKED!!!!! It worked straight away and under the worst condition: Windows 2000 with no sidewinder v3.02 software (coz' both of them are not compatible, although both r from microsoft, microsoft = c**k suckers). Big bad bug? French people cannot play with a joystick, huh? Oops I almost forgot to answer to the usual questions: I'm playing the original campaign (cold war crisis, isn't it?), Yes I upgraded to 1.46, yes the in-game joystick option was enabled all the time and I have an Athlon 1GHz with 256 DDR and Geforce3 Ti 200 which works very well. Now my problem (nothing to do with above): I'm at the mission (after Killdozer and another one) where as a black op, I have to blow up 3 shilkas. But when I start the game, I'm a black op with a M16 (or XM smthg) instead of a HK and no satchel, no binoculars and the same for the 2 other AI! I played this mission b4 and everything was fine and I used Multi-save utility to save the game several times. Since then I decrypted missions + the whole campaign, put everything in MPmisions folder, tried many things... Then formatted the pc and reinstalled the game, started the game to create a userinfo.cfg file, then upgraded, then copied only my (previously saved) userinfo.cfg and my (previously saved) campaign folder into my user folder, evrything was detected fine. BUT still the same problem! I tried to replay a previous mission of the campaign with black ops, everything was fine. Any idea les amis??? Thanks in advance guys!
