RussianBandit 1 Posted March 15, 2013 this is the most paranoid forum i have ever seen. to register, on the same page, you need to pass the typical captcha, and not one but two different questions. right... now, as i am making this post i see i still have to use captcha. maybe it's a new user thing, but whatever... just who exactly are you trying to keep out? yeah, right spammers... maybe there's some history behind this iron curtain, i just don't know it. so my general arma 3 questions are: what is the official name of this game. is it arma 3 or arma iii (ArmA III) or what? because there is nothing more unprofessional or confusing when a game company itself uses different names. the 500 "name in credits" option has expired. how does one know if they got in and will have their name listed? is there a list? has bohemia listed a range of invoice numbers that made it in? so perhaps where they say; "if your invoice has an order number under #100500 you're in the credits, and all with 100501 are too late". my own idea for an additional supporter reward is to have a different steam appid for the supporter version of arma 3. since it's steamworks that would be easy. what that would mean is that those who paid the ultimate price (yes, double entendre) would have a separate appid. the steam keys used for the different versions are already marked as such. it would be trivial to implement. patching would use the same files so not an issue. all it would mean, in practical terms is that those who get the supporter edition could be distinguished on steam just by looking at their profile. regular or deluxe owners would be identified as Arma 3 and supporters as Arma 3 Supporter (or Arma 3 - Supporter Edition) here's a quick mockup. Dallas 9 Posted March 15, 2013 (edited) ArmA III(as in ArmA three in roman numerals) "Please note that we're updating the Supporter list daily, which means that it might take some time for the Supporter Medal to pop up afterwards." http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?148443-Arma-3-Supporter-Medals I think rank should be based on join date, personally I'm uncomfortable about allowing new people to post at all. I think people should be forced to read the forums for ten years, getting a general feel for the flow and culture, before they are allowed posting rights. Also I'd like a forum badge with a big official looking star with a rainbow across it: Indicating I'm pretty badass, but also open minded.
